Download Music
I am a huge Latin music
fan who wants to enjoy tropical rhythms for twenty four hours
a day, seven days a week.
In a small town I live in, you will rarely find music stores
that sell the kind of music I enjoy listening to so much; this
difficulty has brought me to download music from the internet,
a deed I greatly dislike.
I am a musician my self, hoping to succeed in this business
one day, and to think that someone might try to still my music
is very disturbing thought for me.
When you download music off the internet you are actually
committing a felony.
It is a confusing situation for me, since on the one hand, I
dislike the idea that I have to download music onto my
computer because I am a musician myself and wouldn’t like
other people doing the same with my music, but on the other, I
cannot buy the music in a regular store near my house.
So, it seems I have no alternative but to download music.
It might sound hypocrite, but I have come up with a philosophy
that eases my mind.
People that download music usually do it because they just
don’t feel like paying for it, but in my own case, the option
to download music from the Internet is actually helping me in
my artistic endeavors.
When an artist records a CD he or she wants to sell as many
copies as possible, first because of the obvious profit
prospect, and second because a beginning artist rarely knows
that all the money earned go straight to producers, musicians
and other authorities involved in the CD recording business.
The second reason is to make a big name for the artist, so he
can become a known recording artist.
As I see it when I download music of artists I cannot buy in
my home town, I am actually getting to know these artists that
otherwise I wouldn’t be able to be familiar with. |
